Jim ‘N Nick’s is a chain restaurant, but that doesn’t mean it lacks in quality. The barbecue here is some of the best you’ll find anywhere, and it’s worth going out of your way to try it. The menu features all the classics, including pulled pork, ribs, and chicken. But if you’re feeling adventurous, order one of their brisket chili cheese fries. You won’t be disappointed.
Mission BBQ

Mission BBQ is a relative newcomer to the Murfreesboro scene, but it’s already made a big splash. The restaurant has a patriotic theme, and all of the profits go to support veterans and first responders. At noon every day the restaurant stops and sings the national anthem. It’s a great experience to share with your family. As for the food, the pulled pork is excellent, but be sure to try one of their signature like the Black Plate special or the Smokehouse Brisket Sandwich. You won’t be disappointed.

Smokin’ Buttz is actually a food truck that serves some of the most beloved barbecue in Murfreeboro. The pulled pork here is some of the best we’ve ever had, and it comes with your choice of two sides. We recommend pairing it with the macaroni and cheese or the collard greens. And don’t forget to try one of their delicious desserts like the peach cobbler or sweet potato pie. It’ll be hard to resist seconds (or thirds)!
Fat Guy’s BBQ

Slick Pig has been serving up barbecued goodness since 1995, so they know a thing or two about good barbecue! Single Tree is another great food truck option for barbecue in Murfreesboro. The owner, Charlie, is a restauranteur by trade, and he’s spent his entire career in the industry. He left to serve our country when it needed him most during wartime- as an American Cavalry Scout! You’ll find Single Tree Barbecue parked regularly outside of the Cedar Glade Brewery, making a beautiful pairing of beer and barbecue for the perfect dinner. The barbecue is easily some of the best town. Fan favorites include: the Redneck Taco, the Sampler Platter, and Barbecue Nachos!
